Policies

Jetski & Waverunner Rental Cancellation / Return Policy At Rent Our Toyz, we understand plans can change. To keep things fair for both our guests and our small family-owned business, the following policy applies to all jetski and waverunner rentals. Cancellations & Refunds 7 days or more before your rental: Receive a full refund or reschedule at no charge. 48 hours to 7 days before your rental: Receive a 50% refund or reschedule based on availability. Less than 48 hours before your rental: No refunds will be issued. No-shows or same-day cancellations: Non-refundable. Rescheduling: If you need to move your reservation, contact us at least 24 hours in advance. We will do our best to reschedule based on availability, but changes are not gaurenteed.

Refund PolicyAt Rent Our Toyz, approved refunds are processed back to the original payment method used at booking. Once your refund is approved, allow 5–7 business days for the funds to appear in your account. In some cases, your bank or credit card provider may take additional time to post the refund.Card Payments: Refunded to the same credit or debit card used for the reservation.Cash Payments: Refunded in cash or by an agreed-upon method with our team.Customer Cancellations: Refund eligibility depends on the timing of the cancellation and our cancellation terms.No-Shows or Late Arrivals: These may not qualify for a refund.If you believe you are due a refund and have not received it after 7 business days, please contact our team with your name, reservation date, and booking details so we can assist you quickly.

Your safety is our top priority. We monitor lake and weather conditions closely, and if conditions are unsafe for riding, Rent Our Toyz may delay, shorten, or cancel rentals.Weather-related cancellations may include:Lightning or thunderstormsHigh windsHeavy rainRough water or poor visibilityIf we cancel your reservation due to weather before your ride begins, you may:Reschedule for another available date/time, orReceive a full refundPlease note that light rain or cloudy conditions alone do not automatically cancel a rental. If conditions are safe, rentals will continue as scheduled.If weather changes after your rental has started, we will do our best to bring everyone in safely and work with you on a fair solution.

Rental Experience

Check-In ProcessArrive 15–20 minutes early so we can get you checked in and on the water on time.Come to our check-in area at 1 King Street, Burlington, VT 05446 and have your reservation name ready.Bring a valid photo ID for the primary renter. If needed, please also have your booking confirmation available on your phone or by email.Complete your rental paperwork and waiver. All riders/passengers must review and sign the required forms before departure.Review rental details with our team. We’ll confirm your reservation, rider count, rental time, and answer any last-minute questions.Attend a safety briefing. We’ll go over operating instructions, local water rules, safe riding practices, emergency procedures, and what to do if you need assistance during your rental.Get fitted for safety equipment. We’ll provide your required life jacket and make sure it fits properly before you head out.Receive your equipment orientation. Our staff will show you how to start, stop, steer, and operate your jetski or waverunner, along with important do’s and don’ts.Inspect the rental with our team. We’ll do a quick walk-through of the watercraft and note its condition before your ride begins.Head to the launch area and start your adventure. Once everything is complete, our team will help you get situated and ready to enjoy your time on the water.Please note: Late arrivals may shorten your rental time, so we recommend arriving early to make the most of your booking

We recommend bringing: sunscreen. All required safety equipment is provided.

Primary renter must be 21+. Boaters License Required.

Damage & Liability

Damage PolicyTo help protect our equipment, a $1000 security deposit is required for each jet ski/waverunner rental. The deposit is authorized on a valid credit card at check-in and released after the equipment is returned, inspected, and confirmed to be in the same condition it left in, aside from normal wear and tear.Normal wear and tear includes minor scuffs or light cosmetic marks from ordinary use. Damage includes anything beyond normal use, such as:Cracked, chipped, or broken body panelsDamage to the hull, seat, handlebars, mirrors, or controlsEngine, impeller, or steering damage caused by impact, grounding, misuse, or improper operationLost or damaged keys, safety lanyards, life jackets, or other included equipmentDamage caused by towing, reckless riding, collision, beaching, or operating in restricted/shallow areasInspection ProcessBefore your rental: Our team completes a pre-rental inspection with you and notes the condition of the equipment. Photos may also be taken.After your rental: We perform a return inspection to check for any new damage, missing items, or excessive cleaning needs.If damage is found: The cost of repair, replacement, lost rental time, and any related recovery or service fees may be charged to the renter.

Renters are responsible for damage, loss, or towing costs during the rental. We offer an optional damage waiver for added peace of mind. A valid ID and signed rental waiver are required before launch.
